Jilin.

Jilin represents the most massive fall of a stony meteorite on record. At about 3:00 pm on March 8, 1976 a red fireball moving southwest was sighted by townspeople of Hsinglung, Kirin Province. During flight there were several explosions and in the last stages of flight three distinct fireballs were observed. Approximately 4 metric tons of meteorite fragments were scattered along an east-west trending path, the largest being 1770 kg. This meteorite is also known as Kirin.
